Hello, I'm Joie Brann
Founder & Master Hair Artisan
Here’s my Hair Story:
The idea behind Studio 571 Hair Artisans was to be an integrated experience with a focus on the overall health of your hair and your well-being.
After many decades behind the chair, I’ve realized that talent consistency and good service was what our guests demanded and what they deserve. By fostering personalized attention to each individual we are able to achieve the look you want in a safe and relaxing environment.
My personal education over the decades includes many of our great industry leaders. I still have an unquenchable thirst for new techniques and products in order to bring you the very best for your hair.
On the personal side, I enjoy every moment spent with my family, friends, fellow artisans, and my guests who are like an extended family to me.
I am an Earth-loving person who is trying to make a difference in my personal life, as well as in my business, to reduce my carbon footprint. I am a hobby horticulturist and gardener with over 100 green babies (plants) at home and in the studio. I love surrounding myself with nature in any way that I can. My other interests are science, the arts, writing, and travel, which opens my eyes to more of this beautiful planet we all share.
Lastly, I am honored to work side by side with these amazing women below. We all look forward to having you in our studio. We truly believe: “The art of hair is food for the soul.”
Hello, I'm Krista
Studio Coordinator
I’m Joie’s right hand girl. We may have spoken over the phone or even chatted at the shampoo bowl or at the register while checking out. I wear many hats here at Studio 571, and I wouldn’t want it any other way!
I’ve been a licensed cosmetologist for 12 years, graduated from Paul Mitchell school in 2009 and started at my first salon with Joie shortly after. About two years into my journey, I realized that while I was obsessed with all things “beauty” and making people look good, my real passion is making people feel good.
I truly feel that going into a salon should be great experience from the moment you walk in, until the moment you leave and not just about the service you choose. After a quick transition to a front desk role at my first salon and a few management positions in between, I finally found my home at Studio 571 and I could not be happier.
When I’m not buzzing around the salon, I’m most likely hanging out or chasing my two mini Dachshunds, Frank and Dino. I love redecorating and changing things up in my home and am always down for a DIY project. I aspire to be a crazy plant lady like Joie, but I’m not sure that’s possible!
Hello, I'm Laura
Master Hair Artisan
Coming from a long line of stylists helped me to cultivate my passion for creating beautiful healthy hair. In my twenty-plus years, I have honed my skills having mentored under industry leaders such as Edward Tricomi of Warren Tricomi, color specialist Beth Minardi, Bumble and Bumble and Versace. This has given me opportunities to color and style hair for print, television and film.
Hair extensions is a specialty that I also pride myself in, with custom color blending, along with using premium Hairdreams hair, allows for endless options to give you the hair you’ve always wanted. My experience and eye for detail allows me to tailor each look for the unique individual.
When I’m not behind the chair (on my days off), I love to be with my family, two dogs and spending time at the beach.
Hello, I'm Torie
Master Hair Artisan
Having served the Princeton area for over forty years, I have enjoyed working with our community and developed some very special relationships along the way.
My mastery of tonsorial artistry (the art of hair cutting) has been fine tuned to create the look you are looking for. To this day, my passion for this industry still runs deep and I enjoy learning new techniques to keep it fresh for you.
On the personal side, I love golfing, motorcycling, cooking fine foods, relaxing at the beach and hanging out with friends and family.
